Affordable Housing Initiative

One of the key initiatives of the Sadhu Jana Trust is to provide affordable housing for the most vulnerable populations in Kerala. The Trust is focused on constructing 50 houses in each of Kerala’s 14 districts, thus contributing 700 homes to the community. The housing project targets families who are living in substandard conditions and aims to offer them a permanent solution to their housing issues .The homes are built on 5-cent plots, which are located in rural and urban areas, ensuring that the construction is cost-effective, yet modern and sustainable. Each house is designed to be under 650 square feet and is priced at 10 Lakhs INR per house. These homes are equipped with essential amenities and are constructed to withstand the unique challenges of Kerala’s climate. The goal is not just to provide shelter, but to offer a safe and dignified space for families to thrive.

Palliative Care Centers

Sadhu Jena Trust recognizes the importance of health and wellness, especially for the elderly and bedridden members of society. To cater to the growing need for palliative care in Kerala, the Trust is setting up three palliative care centers in each district across the state. These centers will provide specialized care to elderly and bedridden patients, ensuring that they receive the medical attention they need during their final stages of life.

In addition to healthcare services, these centers will offer ambulance facilities for transportation, along with special vehicles designed for doctors and palliative care staff. The centers will serve as a sanctuary for those in need of constant care, with a focus on providing dignity and comfort in their later years. The Trust aims to provide a comprehensive care system that includes both medical treatment and emotional support for the patients and their families.

Healthcare and Wellbeing

Sadhu Jana Trust recognizes the importance of access to quality healthcare for all, especially for those who are elderly, bedridden, or suffering from chronic conditions. In addition to setting up palliative care centers, the Trust supports mobile health clinics, providing medical care to remote villages and underserved areas in Kerala. These clinics are equipped with doctors, nurses, and medical supplies to provide basic healthcare services to those in need.

The Trust’s focus on preventive healthcare and health education is also noteworthy, as it seeks to empower communities with the knowledge they need to take charge of their own health. By providing health camps, awareness programs, and medicines, the Trust is working towards building a healthier Kerala
